Billy Kemper vence o Ride of the Year no Big Wave Awards
Neste sábado (29/04), 0s melhores surfistas de ondas grandes estiveram reunidos em Huntington Beach, Califórnia (EUA), para a cerimônia de premiação de gala do WSL Big Wave Awards.
O australiano Jamie Mitchell conquistou a categoria Men’s Overall Performance Award, que premia as melhores performances da temporada, depois de acumular uma sequência de feitos incríveis no último ano, incluindo a vitória na etapa inaugural do Big Wave Tour (BWT) em Nazaré, Portugal. A segunda colocação nesta categoria ficou com o brasileiro Lucas Chumbinho.
Na principal categoria da noite, o havaiano Billy Kemper que levou a categoria Ride Of The Year com uma performance estarrecedora em Jaws, Havaí, onde venceu o Pe’ahi Challenge de 2016, evento do BWT realizado no quintal de sua casa.
